Ogmore Vale Cluster-Bridgend

| November 19, 2007 | 3 Comments

I wasn’t expecting SO many people, today, at the Ogmore Vale Cluster training day. It was great to find a hall full of smiling faces at Ogmore Vale Primary school.

The cluster includes staff from Bryncethin PrimaryNantymoel Primary School, Ogmore Vale Primary, Ogmore Comprehensive, and Abercerdin Primary schools.

Well done to Paul Booth, head of Ogmore Vale Primary, for conducting a mammoth score, played by all those in the hall, on every kind of instrument imaginable, including trombones and trumpets!

I apologise to all those involved that due to technical problems here at Bryngarw, (The technical problems being that technically I haven’t tasted food this good in ages!) I am not able to upload the videos of today’s musical extravaganza.

Thank you to Paul and his colleagues from the cluster schools, for a really enjoyable day.

The first session was an informative and fun introduction to the magic of Myst. I have never used it before (sorry!) but was inspired and motivated by the talk and interaction involved.
For the second session it was great to see Myst being used in class and the pupils comments and enthusiasm was overwhelming.
Thoroughly enjoyed both sessions. Already started planning when and how we are going to use Myst. Many thanks for your time and ideas.

Thank you Tim. The MYST ideas were great and so were your other ways to stimulate children’s writing.

Cool!!!! Gorgeous!!! “Like we were walkin’ on apple crumble!!!” Great fun and great messages!!! Loved it!!! I have never conducted before!! Probably never will again after that disturbing rollercoaster ride! But HEY HO!! at least I kept all my bits intact which is more than can be said for the brass section!!! (See the photo’s!)
