Fleetdown Infant School, Kent

Day 10, and what a gorgeous finale to our fortnight here in Kent.

We had the pleasure to meet and work with the pupils and staff at Fleetdown Infant School today.

What a privilege!! These children were a delight. All three year groups who came into the hall today were up for fun yet had self-control that was a pleasure to engage with. THANK YOU!!

Floor Planner

As we visit schools and deliver the demo lessons, the layout of tables, chairs etc in the halls we use, is an important part of the experience.

Mandy, yes ‘The Mandy Barrow’, came up with the brilliant idea that we should maybe prepare layout plans before our arrival to help with the setting-up. The schools we have visited over this fortnight in Kent have worked extremely hard to made everything ready for us and have hoped they had the layout as we would want it, and they have, but maybe they would have felt more confident if there had been some examples of layouts.

With this in mind this link to My Floorplanner would be useful.

What a fanstastic day! As a GTP student I picked up loads of teaching tips that I intend to put into practice. Tim Rylands had the children mesmorised for the whole session ( and I was lucky enough to see a KS 1 and KS2 demo lesson). The children of Fleetdown School were wonderful and a credit to their school. Thank you.

What a fantastic day! I was fortunate to be able to participate throughout the day and was able to see how you encouraged, engaged, inspired and challenged all pupils from Year 2 to Year 6. The buzz that was created was amazing with everyone (big and small people alike) not wanting the sessions to end. The students were so lucky to be able to have this experience. I can’t wait to see how my class respond to the software but one thing I will have to remember is to takes things slowly!

Thank you, Tim (and not forgetting Sarah) once again, for a truly inspirational day. xx

  3. What a priviledge it was to host the Myst Day. All of my staff attended at some point during the day and we were not disappointed. The sessions were truly inspirational and staff are keen to enrich their teaching using the Myst software. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
