gadwin-shottie-011gadwin-shottie-005What a great way to spend Red Nose Day, with the fabulous staff and students of  Ysgol Bryn Castell Special School

The school provides for pupils (8 – 19 years) “with a wide range of special educational needs and who experience significant learning and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties”.

We took two groups to a mysterious, dark, gothic landscape with lightening piercing the sky like a needle through black velvet, and then on a gut-wrenching shute through blackness…

The students responded incredibly well and came up with some really imaginative and descriptive phrases for both the sights, sounds and smells of the first setting, and then for the heart racing ride.

Well done indeed to all of the staff and students at the school for an invigorating end to our week in Wales.

    An inspiring session!
The shute ride was my personal favourite, a shiver ran down my spine as we set off, whizzing faster than a locomotion.
The level of engagement from all pupils was amazing, every single one of them growing from tiny buds to huge blooms in two hours.
    Where will we be tomorrow????
Can’t wait to see the film
