Kingswood House School, Epsom, Surrey

| April 24, 2009

gadwin-shottie-013What a fun way to end our first week back after Easter. A trip to Kingswood House School in Epsom Surrey, a preparatory day school for boys aged 3-13 & girls aged 3-7 set in the heart of the Surrey countryside.

Our thanks to Jan Smith, and her colleagues, for hosting an excellent day of creativity.

There are some genuinely addictive and fun games collected together at the Games In School site.

It does have some advertising around the edges so just check before playing that students are clear re clicking links and that you have looked at the page beforehand. Some are great for use on a whiteboard.

gadwin-shottie-034I confess to becoming quite hooked by the excellent graphics and sound scape of Bloxorz, where the aim is to move a 3-D block around a grid and end up in a position where you can slide it down a hole.

A great one to be used in pairs to dicuss tactics and movements of shapes.
