pem-day-1Today we are in Pembrokeshire Education Centre in Neyland, Pembrokeshire, with 50 + colleagues from across the authority. A massive THANK YOU to Eva John, Basic Skills/Literacy Adviser for Pembrokeshire, for inviting us .

Also, Eva 3d-packhas been so kind as to allow Sarah and I to use her chalet in Little Haven.

What a treat! It is like having a holiday whilst we are working.

We have even had a kellogg’s variety pack! A Sign of a REAL holiday eh?!

Sat looking out to sea past some Frosties, it reminded me of 3DPack.

For those of you who have it, you will know how much graphic fun you can have playing with some of the 3D and reflective effects in PowerPoint 2007.

3DPack is good little site for making quick 3D boxes, with images of your choice on each face, with shadows and reflections too.

This could be useful when you have set a class the challenge to design a packet, a box for a product, or if you would just like to show off some images in a different way.

<—- Here is an example I made in seconds. What a joyous picture that is on the front face eh?

Thankfully, we are not that near Freshwater West here, because Atrus (Rand Miller) lookalike Russell Crowe has taken over the beach!

Thank you for such an inspiring day. It has given us a great deal to think about and we are seeking ways to inspire Foundation Phase staff by sharing your ideas.
