National College For School Leadership – Best Practice Conference

| October 7, 2009 | 2 Comments

NCSLA seminar session for NCSL (The National College for School Leadership) in Stratford Upon Avon.

It is their National College BSF Leadership Programme Phase Three- Best Practice Conference.

For my spooky email from the past…

Thank you to Christine Lynn and Danielle Harrison for looking after us at this superb event.

Screenshot 039 This morning, I was surprised, and, I have to say, slightly spooked, to receive an email from me, …sent a year ago.

It read simply “Hi there Tim. It works“!

Back To The Future is one of my favourite films but what the heck is this now?

Visit FutureMe and work out the rest and how you could use it to remind yourself of events ahead, or in a creative way in lessons.

I have road tested it (Took me a year folks!) and have set up 2 more already. I wonder if I will still have the same email address in 2019? A message of encouragement from my past self might be just what I need.

Again, a few of the Web Too technologies presented, included some favourites like Wordle, QuotePad, WordSift, EtherPad, Wikispaces, Bambuser, Qik, Cueprompter, ReadTheWords,TagGalaxy, ooVoo, Twitter, Prezi, VoiceThread, and so many more!

A great session. What appealled was how engaged the learners were and how cheaply these things can be done. Went home and dug out my copy of Myst. Yr 10 English here I come!

Terrific session at Stratford haven’t enjoyed myself or learnt so much in years (full stop).
