International Technology Education Meeting, London

| January 12, 2011 | 6 Comments

A pleasure to present at The Thistle Hotel, Marble Arch today for the ‘International Technology Education Meeting’ (ITEM) to more than 150 teachers, head teachers and ICT coordinators from the Netherlands visiting London from Wednesday January 12th till January 15th 2011.

Their study trip was planned to coincide with BETT week to enable colleagues to meet and discuss the use of ICT in education in an international setting, including a visit to BETT and visits to London schools. The study trip starts with today’s conference and a keynote presentation from us.

A of most of the links we mentioned can be found here:

What a great bunch of people here today. I whizzed through SO many things, at such speed, AND in English (I use English, partly because I have been practising it for 47 years, and also because my Dutch is now very rusty!)

Here are the two “Powerful PowerPoint” tips I mentioned.

These are in PP 2003. In 2007 (onwards) the control toolbox can be found in the “developer tab”.

A big THANK YOU to Koos Eichhorn, Senior Beleidsmedewerker Educatie en ICT, AB-ZHW, coordinating today’s event and inviting us to be a part of it.
