Boxed in…
With a few wet play days ahead, I thought I would mention this little on-screen version of the popular boxes game, a game I spent hours playing with my Grandad Rylands when I was a kid, especially on wet summer holidays.
Here, you play against the computer, instead of your Grampy, with the aim of not giving away too many chances to complete a box or square.
A fun little white board diversion to fritter away a few minutes,
…or a game of power-mad, territory grabbing, world domination?!?
Fairlands Middle School, Cheddar, Somerset

How delightful it was, to wake up at home today, and then take the short trip to Cheddar, and the gorgeous Fairlands Middle School, for a day of wandering in the world of words.
We spent a great morning with two groups of sixty Year Six pupils. These children are a credit to their teachers, as they really knew how to take off and fly, to enjoy, and challenge, themselves, yet do so with respect and a sense of humour. Continue Reading
