The International School of Geneva, Middle School, Day 1

Our third trip to The International School in Geneva, in Switzerland.

Our previous two visits saw us taking part in The Pollens Pedagogiques Conference, and a great few days working alongside the children and staff of the Lower School.

Beautiful Curves – a whiteboard sensory experience

Beautiful Curves is a living art experience, sending almost organic curving lines dancing around lines you draw.

This would make a great sensory experience, on a whiteboard, for those who would enjoy, and benefit from  triggering, controlling and creating their own curling, twirling, flowing, growing, art works.

Experiment with the parameters and you might find other uses, such as exploring letter formation…

We Tell Stories – Interactive Fairy Tale

A couple of years back, Penguin set six authors the challenge of creating online stories, that would develop as they were written. This was called We Tell Stories. Some of these tales were aimed at a mature audience.

The result of the third week was the interactive, personalized fairy tale by Kevin Brooks, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen. This could be useful when investigating the structure of traditional tales.
