Braithwaite CofE (VA) Primary School, Cumbria – Day II

| March 6, 2012 | 4 Comments

Our second day at Braithwaite CE (VA) Primary School,, and what a fun way to end this visit: with a fast paced tour through some of the virtual opportunities that are available in the on line, Web2.0 world, and the world of gaming, AND in the outside world!

A huge thank you to Karen Roberts, Jo Laker, Lesley Lamb, from Braithwaite; Sara Royle, Bassenthwaite School; Christopher Tweddle, Beckermet CE Primary; Terry Jackson, Black Combe Junior School; Annette Savage, Bransty Primary School; Kate Rogan, Clifton School; Lorraine Fitzpatrick, and Natasha Stainton-Stevens, Jericho School; Paul Randell and Kath Steele, Newbarns Primary School; Darren Glynn, Newtown Community Primary School; Mike Pincombe, North Lakes; Debra Lloyd and Louise Northern, St Bergh’s Catholic Junior School; Angela Quirk and Stuart Robertson, Victoria Infant and Nursery School, Workington; Steven Breeze, Victoria Junior School, Workington; Helen Dowthwaite, Valley Primary School (Whitehaven); Lucy Smith, Brook Street Primary (Carlisle) and Stuart McLean, Norman Street Primary (Carlisle).

The dry stone walls, that criss cross the fields of the Lake District, are strong structures and they enfold and encase livestock in some remarkable terrain. On closer look, and in certain lights, you see that they are like lace work: you can see though them in so many places that they look, now, like a sheep could blow them down with a single puff.

They can handle a Rylands leaning against them… most of the time. But, that’s another story 😀
