BigMarker gives teachers, and pupils, the opportunity to web conference with many others and make a virtual classroom across communities, counties or countries.
A Conference Room can have 50 “attendees” listening and talking with up to 10 of them sharing their webcams. Record sessions for later playback to review key elements of learning maybe.
The free community option allows “Unlimited Members + 8GB File Storage + Unlimited Public Video Conferencing 50 person Conference Rooms + Discussion Board + Community Calendar”
This seems more than enough to use as a teacher tool, when planning or discussing with others, or as a way of enabling class interaction in different locations. It shares concepts with Google hangouts but is worth investigating.
