Pencil & ZeFrank’s Scribbler

We saw some delightful art work around the school today and would like to mention a couple of on-line, or downloadable, drawing ideas we’ve found to be both fun and useful.

First, some clever stuff! This might be more suitable for older pupils but is worth investigating.

Pencil is an extremely clever piece of free, and open source, animation or drawing software for Mac OS X, Windows, & Linux.

Not exactly a doddle, but, with a bit of familiarisation, lets you create traditional hand- drawn animations or cartoons.

ANY age of child might enjoy ZeFrank’s Scribbler which brings doodlings alive in fascinating ways.

Draw a line design and watch it add to itself and grow. This would also work well for children with sensory needs, on a large white board, or could also create some magical sketch effects in art.
