Radyr & Llanishen Fach Primary Schools, Cardiff

What a superb way to start the new school year. After a lovely summer break, it is great to be back with the staff from Llanishen Fach Primary School, and Radyr Primary School, in South Wales.

We had two fun days, working alongside the children from both schools, in July: Llanishen and Radyr. We travelled back on this lovely September day, to take things a few steps further.

We have completely reshuffled our days and introduced a plethora of new stuff so we had great fun! Folk here were, again, a delight to spend time with. Up for challenges, and always ready to laugh.

A huge THANK YOU to Sarah Coombes, headteacher at Llanishen, her deputy Giles Parker, Mark Barrett, Learning Technologies Leader, (pictured here on the left, two remarkable roadies!) and Jonathan Bussy, headteacher at Radyr, for organising our return.

We are already looking forward to our next visit to this part of the world. Well done all.

Thanks for an inspirational follow-up INSET session today, a day crammed with thoughts and ideas that took hold as we laughed together. The breadth and richness of resources was staggering and their potential pose many exciting possibilities.
The PowerPoint session, with the demonstration of ‘text entry boxes’, showed that there is always something new to discover. I will definitely be trying out these, alongside navigation buttons, to create multimedia resources. And by adding buttons for different pupil groups I thought I could build differentiation into a single PowerPoint show. Next I want to learn how to be able to ‘drag and drop’ resources around the PowerPoint screen and after that …
