Animate2Educate Summer Conference

Great to be invited along to the MPH Training and Conference Centre, in Gateshead, for the Animate 2 Educate Summer Conference, entitled ‘Bringing the Curriculum to Life’, the tag line of the A2E company.

A2EOver the past 3 years Martin Bailey (Director of Animate 2 Educate Ltd) has worked with staff and pupils from schools throughout the UK, delivering pupil workshops, staff training and consultancy sessions.

The initial concept of Animate 2 Educate was to deliver animation workshops in schools, based around current curriculum topics. Whilst that remains a part of their service, the company has quickly grown and diversified and now covers all areas of Computing provision in schools.

A2E summer conferenceA lot of their work lately has centred around the new Primary Computing Curriculum and helping schools to be fully prepared for the new changes. Whilst working in schools it became clear that there was a demand for a full day event in the North East event that would both ‘prepare’ and ‘inspire’ staff ahead of the introduction of the new curriculum.

From those initial suggestions, the Animate 2 Educate Summer Conference was born and Martin is going to prepare delegates for the new Curriculum through both a presentation on the day and a practical Computer Science workshop.

Martin Bailey (Director – Animate 2 Educate Ltd) says:

Having first seen Tim Rylands live at the Education Innovation Conference in Manchester, the ‘inspiration’ that staff were requesting quickly became clear and apparent. Animate 2 Educate Ltd are therefore delighted and honoured that Tim has agreed to be the keynote speaker at this event.

And, we are proud to have been involved with such a fascinating, useful, and, ultimately, empowering day. Thanks all.
