Day 8 and we have moved north  west to  Chantry Primary School, in Gravesend. Gravesend is famous for being the final resting place of Pocahontas. She became ill when on a return journey  back to Virginia and was taken ashore to Gravesend on the River Thames, where she then died.  Her funeral took place on March 21, 1617 [...]
