World Builder

A short film, full of poignancy, that initiates a lot of questions.
World.Builder from Kusanagi on Vimeo.
A few questions, raised in discussion, included: if he has that power through technology, why not build somewhere FULL of flowers? Maybe that was somewhere special, somewhere that had a significance for him and for her, maybe he builds somewhere different every day. What is the clock counting down to? What is Neuro holographic therapy, and what is it aiming to achieve?

First of all I thought he has to build a world, by a certain time, every day and then Steven King’s Langoliers would come to eat it up at the end of the day. When I realised the lady was wearing a hospital gown and wristband, I guessed she was in a coma (a bit like that police TV series Life on Mars) and this was the only way he could contact her via her subconcious, although he wouldn’t/couldn’t let her see him – he could build a virtual reality for her to enjoy, maybe a place they’d both enjoyed before her condition.
